Synopsis (short abstract)

This report provides an analysis of the government’s fiscal decisions and their implications for food and nutrition security. The review evaluates the effectiveness of budget allocations across sectors that impact food systems, including agriculture, water, social protection, and health. It critically examines whether the financial resources allocated are sufficient to address Kenya’s ongoing food security challenges, particularly in vulnerable communities, and whether they support the country’s long-term development goals.
